About the job

This position is needed to further strengthen our current team in building highly scalable, reliable software supporting our global SMS business.

Your main focus is to support the delivery of our customers SMS messages through optimal service provider selection, taking into account various characteristics of the SMS message, it’s destination and different business needs of our customers. You will be implementing new services and developing further existing ones, so we can continue to offer reliable and highly scalable SMS delivery services to our customers globally.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Develop new software to fulfill our customers business needs
  • Write tests to cover your already excellent code with test coverage to ensure we only deliver the best quality code to serve our customers
  • Contribute and drive defining the how based on the input from business and ensure your solution is written up and discussed with stakeholders in and outside of your team
  • Set up monitoring for your team services and use it to ensure your area of responsibility is configured optimally
  • Build strong connections with the fellow teammates and key stakeholders to ensure good communication flow

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of Software development experience
  • Years of experience with complex distributed systems
  • Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code. You can design and develop horizontally-scalable and resilient systems.
  • Proficiency on at least one of the cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, or GCP. You are able to both design and develop cloud-based systems and operate them in an automated fashion.
  • Passion about quality and testing. You are able to design and develop CI/CD quality pipelines requiring as little human intervention as possible.

Desired:

  • Experience from writing your solutions down
  • Working knowledge of Kafka and DynamoDB
  • Willingness and experience to mentor young talent

Location 

This role will be remote-first, and based in our Estonia or Poland office.
