About the Role:

Server-Side Ad Insertion is a cornerstone of the modern ad-supported streaming business. Our team's primary focus is on scaling our distributed systems to monetize our streaming content and accommodate voluminous concurrent users while maintaining high reliability and low latency. With our expertise and commitment to innovation, we strive to monetize the streaming content and provide a smooth and seamless watching experience for our users.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Elixir- based distributed systems, ensuring their performance, reliability, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Elixir-based distributed systems
  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reliable, and scalable systems
  • Collaborate with other engineers and teams to ensure seamless integration of various components and systems
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Tutor senior engineers of the team in system designing and coding
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other engineers
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Elixir and related technologies and frameworks
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and guidelines

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in software development
  • Strong knowledge of Elixir, Erlang, OTP, and related technologies and frameworks is a plus, but we will accept applicants with an interest in learning Elixir
  • Experience in designing and developing high-performance, reliable, and scalable systems and applications
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, micro-services, and containerization
  • Experience with database technologies, such as PostgreSQL and Redis
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with a distributed team
  • Fluent English communication skill
