As a Homie, you are a bar raiser, this means you come with:

  • 4+ years of experience developing, coaching, and managing Software Engineers
  • A strong history of hands-on technical experience and a history of guiding teams through complex technical problems to successful outcomes, especially as part of large-scale distributed systems serving millions of users
  • Experience leading, managing, and mentoring engineers at various levels
  • Experience building high-performing teams that build high-quality products and able to influence across the department to promote effective engineering practices
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills with a proven ability to diagnose and understand challenges that span teams and technologies
  • As a bonus, you are familiar with at least some small and medium business customers, especially local businesses; Ruby and Rails development; Product led growth and initiatives related to driving Monetization.
  • Ability to collaborate in the office weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

As a Homie, you will make an impact by:

Spearheading your team in their mission to develop world-class solutions for small businesses. You will use your hands-on experience to guide the team to deliver a resilient platform and world-class product. You will partner with Engineering Management and Technical Leadership to help your team scale to meet our future needs. You maintain a high technical standard for all work your team delivers. 

  • You will oversee the growth of team(s) in our engineering organization where you will guide, manage, and mentor engineers. You will foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation.
  • You will manage team(s) of engineers building Monetization products with a key focus  on experimentation and pricing/packaging by supporting team(s) in their day-to-day work and professional development
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of engineering projects, balancing speed with reliability and scalability. Monitor key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement.
  • You’ll be a key member of the Engineering Management team and bring new ideas about organizational development, scaling teams, improving processes, etc.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional leadership and business partners for the successful delivery of the roadmap 
  • You will help recruit and close engineering candidates
