Reddit, Inc. seeks Software Engineer III in San Francisco, CA:
Job Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Build the first version of the developer platform that enables developers to expand the ways they can interact with Reddit. Contribute to the local development environment, the app store, and the integration with Reddit properties. Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch. Review code and design docs and give feedback on product specs and mocks. Work closely with product and design to build functional products. Contribute meaningfully to team strategy and early decisions. Telecommuting is an option.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field, OR Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Node.js; (2) JavaScript; (3) React.js; (4) Typescript; (5) GraphQL; (6) Distributed Systems; (7) Micro-services; (8) Real-time data streaming and processing; (9) SQL and no-SQL data stores; and (10) API development. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option.
