Software Engineer - Gaming (Global Contractor)

As a Game Software Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing high-quality game and interactive experiences using Unreal Engine 5. You will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary game development team that is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and imaginative designs that push the boundaries of what is possible in the Web3 gaming industry. We are open to filling this position with a Global Contractor.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality and scalable game code using Unreal Engine 5 and C++
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand end-user requirements and develop technical solutions to meet those needs

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of coding standards and best practices

• Debug and resolve complex software issues and performance bottlenecks

• Write clean, well-documented and maintainable code

• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new technologies that may improve the team's efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong proficiency in the C++ programming language and Unreal Engine 5

• Effective knowledge of game engine architecture

• Practical understanding of 3D math and physics concepts

• Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail

• Proven experience with source control systems such as Git or Perforce

• Good communication and collaboration skills

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for a full-time position is $50,000-$150,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
