We are seeking an experienced and motivated SRE Engineering Manager to join our team. As the SRE Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the CI/CD process, deployment strategies and automation in our organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.  Additionally, you will demonstrate strong leadership skills and manage a team of talented individuals.

What you'll do:

  • Lead a team of SRE Engineers responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of mission-critical systems.
  • Develop and implement best practices for software delivery and deployment, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) using GitHub and Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements in our golden pipeline.
  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for the SRE team, including short-term and long-term goals.
  • Manage and mentor team members, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  • Drive a culture of innovation, automation, and continuous improvement across the SRE team.
  • Utilize scripting skills in Python or Go to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud services and infrastructure components.
  • Ensure code quality and scanning, implementing measures to improve code quality and reduce technical debt.
  • Collaborate with security teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security measures.
  • Extensive knowledge of containerized applications, and experience with deployment strategies such as blue-green and canary.
  • Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
  • Optimize infrastructure to save costs while maintaining performance and reliability.

 

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in SRE or DevOps.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Experience with CI/CD using GitHub and Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell or Go.
  • Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud services and components.
  • Proficient in containerization technologies.
  • Experience with deployment strategies such as blue-green and canary.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
