OPPORTUNITY

Celigo is looking for an experienced, results-oriented Senior Technical Program Manager, who will work cross-functionally with Product Engineering, Product Management, Design, Docs, & DevOps to ensure smooth, on-time, on-budget Product releases.  Celigo Product has multiple releases in a calendar year and a few maintenance releases, as needed. This role would be responsible for release scope management, process adherence, create/maintain/enforce processes and best practices across various functions. This role will provide strategic direction, coaching to all the scrum teams as required to enable complete agile adoption within the engineering organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment, have strong project management & organizational skills, experience with modern software development process and tracking tools including data analysis and reporting functions, be familiar with agile software development processes, and strong communications and people skills. 

 

In addition, this role will also be accountable for managing the engineering department’s strategic internal and customer-facing workstreams, planning and tracking functions, and other activities (e.g., training, administration, etc.).  This role will also help the senior engineering management with strategic outcomes and execution, including business planning, large multi-quarter development projects, long-term customer development streams, and operational reporting (to the field, executive management, and the board).

 

The candidate will have strong working experience with modern development environment tools and used to generate detailed reports or information from them. They should be able to provide insights into the organization’s capacity and demand, identify and manage risk, detect early any project execution issues, and provide data-driven information and analyses to various stakeholders.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own the complete release management process and delivery of all Celigo Product suite (Platform, pre-built integration applications & connectors) by building and managing correct priorities in alignment with business needs.
  • Periodic communication of program status to the Company, Executive team and other stakeholders using hard data and metrics.
  • Provide various analyses and reports to support fact-based decision making within the engineering department.
  • Responsible for making project decisions, achieving tactical goals while retaining a strategic focus.
  • Should anticipate any bottlenecks/roadblocks, escalate at appropriate time and resolve in a smooth and timely manner.
  • Instrumental in bringing forth transformation with the entire engineering organization adopting Agile process by rolling out processes for engineering and helping implement the same.
  • Provide project management oversight to the department's major strategic internal and customer-facing workstreams.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10+ years in a technology-focused industry is required.
  • At least 6-10 years of experience in Technical program management (or) leading software development projects to successful completion at software product companies.
  • Experience working with multiple functions including Development, QA, Design, Documentation, Product Management, Infrastructure, Customer Success teams.
  • Project delivery experience of working with multiple, disparate projects and/or stakeholder groups during release.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Very strong working experience in Agile (or) SAFe methodologies, agile transformation at software product organizations, especially an early stage growth company.
  • Excellent Jira knowledge and ideally also Jira Administrator experience.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices and deep understanding of engineering and product team processes.
