About the Role:
Cruise is a leader in the design of world-class silicon for automotive. Come join the dynamic Cruise Silicon team. We are a growing team of experienced silicon developers, working in a startup environment. We are looking for a Senior Staff Silicon Architect to join our team.
What you’ll be doing:
Your job responsibility as a Senior Staff Silicon Architect is to provide technical leadership throughout all phases of silicon Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) development.
For this role specifically we are looking for someone who:
Will own power analysis, modeling and convergence working with our front end, and backend teams from Cruise and vendor Will drive design, integration, modeling and performance testing architecture for Network on Chip (NOC) Will help drive in defining, configuring, and creating high level performance and power analysis in ARM CPU Subsystems An expert on power analysis through scoping, implementation and correlation skills Analysis of various Vt Mix trade offs on static power Analysis of dynamic power scenarios Working with front and back end teams and vendors to close successive power estimates Has strong experience designing ASIC Network On Chip (NOCs) interconnects between various IPs, memory interfaces, and chip to chip interconnect. Preferably using Arteris NOCs Understands backpressure scenarios of both slow and fast IPs interaction with memory subsystems Understands mixing of NOCs with different power domains A plus is also having experience working with and designing ARM CPU subsystems. Desirable to have ARMv8 and especially ARMv9 architectural knowledge Desirable to have experience Cache Coherent Mesh Networks (CMN) You will work with a team of other architects and engineers to define technical requirements & architecture specifications for chip development You will drive and support design and verification in pre and post silicon to ensure features meet architectural requirements.
What you must have:
Ten or more years of silicon architecture experience
3+ years of experience in both of the following fields: Chip and subsystem power analysis and on die interconnect (Arteris NOC)
2+ years experience in ARM CPU Subsystems
An expert on power analysis through scoping, implementation and correlation skills
Analysis of various Vt Mix trade offs on static power
Analysis of dynamic power scenarios
Working with front and back end teams and vendors to close successive power estimates
Has strong experience designing ASIC Network On Chip (NOCs) interconnects between various IPs, memory interfaces, and chip to chip interconnect. Preferably using Arteris NOCs
Understands backpressure scenarios of both slow and fast IPs interaction with memory subsystems
Understands mixing of NOCs with different power domains
A plus is also having experience working with and designing ARM CPU subsystems.

The salary range for this position is $184,500 - $271,200. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
