Senior Software Engineer

Senior Frontend Engineer at Collibra are responsible for

• Designing, developing and maintaining new features to further improve our products
• Establishing strong relationships across multiple teams to achieve results and partnering with others to implement new functionalities with an emphasis on quality.
• Developing efficient clean code and serve as an expert in best practices for coding and help more junior members improve their practices.
• Following the agile process (e.g. Scrum or KanbanScrum) to make sure your deliverables are visible for the entire team and company stakeholders.
• Demonstrating results / functionality / change / recommendations.
• Taking direct ownership of challenges found and working collaboratively through these with others by sharing your ideas.
• Leads efforts to invent, design and build software that is both stable and meets customer objectives.

You have

• Professional experience in creating large and scalable web applications with Javascript, Typescript, CSS, HTML, React, Node JS, Material UI and Jest.
• Work experience in building products intended for real-time on-demand environments e.g. SaaS, Internet/Digital, or Cloud Products.
• Knowledge of OO principles, Design Patterns, functional programming, clean code principles, and Agile processes (e.g. Scrum or KanbanScrum) in developing and delivering software.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English - we’re a global team and English is the most spoken language.
• It is a plus if you have experience with at least one of the following additional technologies: NX, GraphQL/Restful APIs, ZOD, Playwright, Storybook/Chromatic,  Accessibility/Internationalization. 
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience.
• You must have work authorization to work in Prague, CZ

Reporting to Collibra’s Director of Engineering, Senior Frontend Engineer’s measures of success are

• Within your first month, you will get familiar with the environment we use, the way we implement software as an organization, simple business use cases and submit code to production.
• Within your third month, you will implement new user stories with quality and care, and understand what value they will bring to our customers.  
• Within your sixth month, you will be a productive member of the Data Export team, reliably delivering quality code, participating in testing and on your way to many interesting challenges and growth opportunities.
