Our Role:

As a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer you will work on a team that is responsible for the internal software that powers OJO, integrating with partners that work with OJO around the services they need, and managing the Real Estate Agent team subscriptions; a rapidly growing area of development with many greenfield projects to be explored. While this position has a heavier lean on the frontend you will still be involved with backend development and spend time at the architectural level designing full stack solutions. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Be part of a talented engineering team to build a compelling digital experience that engages with consumers who are in the process of making important purchasing decisions
  • Write code, write a lot of code, write better code while you are at it
  • Ship features fast and iterate  
  • Participate in building a strong culture that values learning and collaboration
  • Take ownership in defining and improving frontend practices and processes at OJO

Requirements:  

  • 5 (+) years of hands-on full stack development experience 
  • Track record of working with a variety of systems, processes, and technologies to own and solve product and technical problems end-to-end
  • Ability to communicate effectively across product, design, and engineering
  • An appetite to learn the craft of software development
  • Experience with React JS, Typescript, Node.js, Java, AWS
  • Experience with MVC frameworks
  • Comfortable with relational databases
  • Experience building maintainable systems supported by automated tests
  • Computer Science or other technical degree (or equivalent job experience)

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working in distributed systems
  • Experience with Kotlin, Spring, Python, Kubernetes, GRPC, Postgres
  • Knowledge of real estate or financial services in technology
