Senior DevEx Engineer

THE ROLE

A Developer Experience Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the developer experience for Smart’s engineers. This includes everything from our pipelines and automation to the tools and processes that engineers use to design, build, test and deploy services.

You will have a vital role in helping us succeed by improving productivity, quality and innovation and reducing costs.

• Experience with a variety of developer tools and technologies
• An understanding of software engineering principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge or an interest in Infrastructure as Code
• Knowledge or an interest in a cloud computing platform (AWS)

Most importantly, we’re looking for people who live and breathe the why and then doing something about it. To have an understanding in why we’re doing something and then see how it can impact the developer experience is crucial to this role.
