The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers our decision-making and operations. In this role, you’ll work closely with teams across the organization to build reliable ETL pipelines, design scalable workflows, and create efficient data models. Your work will enable teams to unlock insights and make data-driven decisions.
This is a high-impact role in a remote-first company, offering the opportunity to lead key initiatives and shape the future of our data platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain ETL processes to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Build and optimize data workflows and pipelines, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Develop and manage data models that support analytics and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and best practices.
- Leverage tools like dbt and Snowflake (preferred) to enhance data infrastructure and performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
How You’ll Contribute
- Build robust ETL processes to ensure data is accurate, timely, and accessible across the organization.
- Drive the design and implementation of scalable data workflows and pipelines to meet growing data demands.
- Develop and maintain data models that support analytics, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to define data requirements, aligning systems with organizational goals.
- Enhance the performance and efficiency of our data infrastructure by leveraging tools like dbt and Snowflake (preferred).
- Serve as a trusted advisor on data best practices, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in ETL development and data workflows.
- Proficiency with dbt and Snowflake is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing principles.
- Familiarity with building scalable, automated workflows for large datasets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and optimization.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
