The Role

We're looking for a talented engineer that loves food, big challenges, and a powerful purpose.

Data is critical to the success of a company, and as the senior engineer, you'll get to design solutions to our trickiest problems. This role will serve as the ambassador for modern software techniques and best practices across the Data & Analytics team.

Responsibilities

Own the data architecture across the company, designing innovative solutions such as real-time streaming of our kitchen operations.
Grow and nurture your own data engineering team, supporting, mentoring, and developing highly skilled engineers.
Research, evaluate, and introduce new infrastructure and technologies to support CookUnity data needs.
Solidify our core analytics pipelines (Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, Census), automating governance, and creating robust source of truths for complex analytics.
Build out our MLOps infrastructure to get data science models into production quickly and reliably.
Act as the subject matter expert for data to the other Engineering squads, ensuring reliable and logical schema design and source data.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive and relevant data engineering experience.
3+ years as a lead engineer, diagnosing complex issues, managing junior engineers, and owning the engineering architecture.
Advanced Python and SQL to create data pipelines that solve complex business needs.
Proven background leading the design and creation of a delta lake or data warehouse, with demonstrated knowledge of ETL/ELT best practices.
Experience with data warehouse design best practices.
Experience with dbt is a plus.
