Senior Audio Programmer – 12 Month Contract

We are Media Molecule, a multi-award winning game developer and part of the wider PlayStation Studios group. We have a history of creating outstanding games such as LittleBigPlanet, Tearaway and most recently, the BAFTA Award winning Dreams. It’s a fantastic time to join us as we embark on our next adventure, defining and executing the vision for our next project and settling into our gorgeous, newly refurbished studio in central Guildford. We are now searching for an experienced Senior Audio Programmer to join our Game Technology team on a 12 month contract basis.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Game Technology, Design and Audio teams to integrate audio hooks and systems into game features.
  • Collaborate with audio designers to implement data-driven systems that connect Wwise functionality to audio technical features.
  • Identify, propose and implement workflow changes that streamline audio integration.

Requirements

  • Previous experience implementing audio systems and hooks (ideally for Wwise) across a wide range of features in (ideally AAA) commercially-released game(s).
  • Excellent C and C++ skills, with ability to write readable and maintainable code.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, pragmatic and collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Enthusiasm and understanding of sound and music as aesthetic artforms.
