PlayStation Studios is the game development division of Sony PlayStation and is responsible for developing some of the most recognisable and ambitious console games and franchises on PlayStation, including The Last of Us, Horizon, Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, and Gran Turismo.

We work with some of the best game studios in the world and use data to help them make their games even better. We provide end-to-end analytics services for PlayStation Studios and use data to help them in the game development lifecycle. We are looking for talented people to join us in pushing the boundaries of game analytics for PlayStation games.

What you will be doing:

As a Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, structuring, and presenting data to support decision-making and improve business performance. You will work closely with stakeholders, such as Game Data Analysts, Product Managers, or Executives to understand their reporting needs. You will then develop and maintain reports on KPIs and common frameworks. You will also be working with Data Engineers to understand the data sources available to you, and to share your requirements with them. Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

 

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements. 

  • Gathering and interpreting data from various sources. 

  • Developing and maintaining dashboards and standardised reporting templates.

  • Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. 

  • Monitoring the integrity and quality of data. 

  • Providing support and training to end-users, including for instance reviewing queries from peers.

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • High proficiency in SQL, with a proven track record of applying these skills to analyse complex BI datasets.

  • Experience in designing and developing reports and dashboards using reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker). 

  • Familiarity with data visualisation techniques and best practices. 

  • Attention to detail and the ability to ensure data accuracy and integrity. 

  • Good communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and understandable manner. 

  • Knowledge of gaming-specific metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) is a plus.
