Our technology stack:

• Frontend: the system management interface is written in React and is a Single Page Application.

• Backend: we use mainly Ruby (RoR for API only and Sinatra) and Golang (Gin), some components and modules are written in Python (aiohttp, Flask, FastAPI)

About this opportunity:

We are looking for a skilled Team Leader (Tech Lead Manager) to join the API Discovery team – Wallarm component designed to build web application structures based on incoming traffic. This position would be a good fit for a Team Leader with experience in building or discovering APIs. Current implementation made on Python. Other components of Wallarm are written in Ruby and Go. We want to consider reimplementing some parts in Go if it is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a cross–functional team - Frontend, Backend (Python + Ruby/Go) and QA;

• Guide team to achieve impactful goals related to API Discovery product. Goals will be set in collaboration with the Product Manager;

• Prepare and execute roadmap with Product Manager;

• Be accountable for architecture decisions in the team;

• Be focused on strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making through quarter OKRs;

• Spend up to 50% of your time in code development.

In this role you need: 

• 5+ years in software development. 1+ year of management cross-functional team;

• Experience with Python 3 and microservice architecture;

• Broad experience in API development;

• Understanding of parallel and concurrent programming principles;

• Hands-on experience with high-loaded systems. Good understanding of modern software architecture;

• Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Go and/or Ruby;

• On-hands experience with API protocols: REST, GRPC and GraphQL;

• Experience with a low-level programming language (e.g. C/C++);

• Experience with software distributed through packages without automatic updates.
