Platform Architect - Ecosystems Team

We are seeking a skilled Platform Architect to join our Ecosystems Team at Backbase, a leading banking company that is revolutionizing the way financial institutions interact with their customers. Our Ecosystems Team is a dynamic and diverse group of 12 team members from around the world, working in an agile environment to design and build the next generation of banking products. You will work closely with our Tech Director and Product Director to draft the platform architecture of our upcoming product line, which will be used by millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build a flexible API platform with integration capabilities that align with our business objectives
• Build cross-cutting components that enable multiple integration services
• Architect API Ops at a large scale project using Backbase's state-of-the-art technology stack
• Ensure that the platform meets Backbase's stringent NFRs (metrics, logging, performance, security)
• Work with iPaaS frameworks/products (e.g., Apache Camel) integrated with Backbase's digital banking platform
• Design platforms that deliver high throughput, low footprint services using Backbase's enterprise integration patterns

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial industry
• Strong experience in designing flexible API platforms with integration capabilities
• Strong understanding of API gateway and API design principles, preferably with Backbase's digital banking platform
• Proven experience in extending API gateways for common use cases, using Backbase's digital banking platform
• Proven experience in designing platforms that deliver high throughput, low footprint services
• Good understanding of NFRs (metrics, logging, performance, security) in the context of Backbase's digital banking platform
