About the role:

  • Manage a team of both Manual and Automation testers
  • Advance and mature the testing practice at Classy

What you’ll accomplish:

  • Lead Test Engineers of various seniority levels across several feature pods
  • Develop, roll out and implement software quality standards and best practices

What you bring (Required):

  • 4 + years of management experience managing a team of 8+ manual or automation test engineers.
  • 5 + years of hands-on software testing experience
  • A collaborative approach to planning, problem solving and prioritizing with clear and effective communication.
  • A desire to listen and ask questions with a sense of curiosity to understand
  • Experience with Quality Assurance / Software Testing a distributed SaaS customer-facing application
  • Ability to manage a team with empathy and integrity
  • An understanding of how to develop personal growth opportunities for your team members.
  • Self-awareness and a sense of humor

What would be awesome to have (Preferred):

  • Experience with JIRA in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Experience with testing of microservices
  • Experience with Classy’s current suite of testing tools (Gherkin and Karate)
