As the Lead Architect, you are responsible for the definition and implementation of the protocol roadmap for the short and mid-term.

You work jointly with key contributors to the open-source project such as Crypto .com and Crypto .org, establish partnerships with additional open-source contributors such as Layer 2 technology development teams, and lead a small team of protocol engineers in order to implement proof of concepts, test networks, and production deployments of the successive versions.

Define the short term and mid term roadmap, in partnership with key contributors.

Explore and implement various layer 2 and cross-chain technologies in order to progress on the path towards Cronos version 2: proofs of concept, performance testing, preparation for deployment.

Establish partnerships with layer 2 and cross-chain bridge development teams.

Drive alignment between the various stakeholders of the project.

Manage a small team, and project-manage a larger team.

Work closely with the leadership team, partnership and marketing teams, and partner teams, to plan and execute the delivery of the roadmap.

10+ year’s experience as a protocol engineer and/or principal architect.

Deep and extensive understanding of Ethereum technology, layer 1s and layer 2s, cross-chain bridges.

Proven track record of thought leadership on blockchain protocols (research papers, white papers, blog posts, open-source projects).

Experience working in globally distributed teams

Highly structured and strong organizational and leadership skills

High energy, driven, ambitious

Exceptionally good written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to provide clarity to all level engineering personnel to ensure that the team you lead understand current priorities and roadmaps, as well as with management to articulate concepts and progress of delivery of strategic roadmaps

Humble, willing to both give and take direction
