Junior Software Engineer

About the role

• As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be need technical, social and human competencies, to properly develop the tasks assigned by the Tech Team. Among the main responsibilities of the role are learn the codebase, attend design meetings, write basic code, fix bugs, and assist the Tech Lead in all design-related tasks. 

What you will do

• Assisting the development manager with all aspects of software design and coding.
• Attending and contributing to company development meetings.
• Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills.
• Working on minor bug fixes.
• Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems.
• Responding to requests from the development team.
• Gathering information from consumers about program functionality.
• Writing reports.
• Conducting development tests.

What you will need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science.  
• Basic programming experience.  
• Knowledge of basic coding languages including Java and HTML5  
• Knowledge of databases and operating systems. 
• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
