You are a seasoned, purpose-driven data leader with a proven track record of harnessing data to drive business success. You have a clear vision of how data can improve every aspect of a business and possess the leadership skills necessary to make that vision a reality. This role will serve as a valued cross-functional contributor, engaging with a range of stakeholders across highly-technical and strategic topics.
What You’ll Do:
- Building and Leading a Data Organization: Cultivate a high-performing data organization that spans Data Science & Data Analytics
- Data Science: Lead a team of data scientists developing algorithmic and machine-learned solutions to some of our most challenging problems, such as demand forecasting (where should vehicles be deployed in the next 3, 6, 12+ hours), task prioritization (of all the tasks needed to be performed in a market, which are of the highest economic value) and many others
- Proactive Data Insights: By becoming close to all of our customers (riders, operators and cities), you can provide proactive strategic insights that influence all of Lime’s products and operations
- Drive Self-Serve: Lime has an abundance of technical product managers and engineers who are striving to get their own insights from the variety of data sources we have. Your goal will be to more effectively enable these customers to self-serve those needs without involving your team
- Data Analytics: Lead a team of motivated data analysts who are working side-by-side with engineering and product management to support experiment analysis and insight generation
- Global Dashboarding: Every day, Limers begin by looking at several global and local dashboards that report on the health of the business. Your goal will be to evolve and improve these data sources to enhance their usability
- Strategic Advisory: Act as a key strategic advisor to the executive team, leveraging data-driven insights to impact decision-making on key performance drivers
- Vision Setting: Develop a 3-year vision for Lime’s data function. The expectation is for you to work backwards from what ‘great’ looks like three years from now and chart a course
- Communication and Storytelling: Employ your communication skills to craft compelling data narratives that bring your solutions to life
About You:
- 10+ years of experience working in data science and analytics, with 4+ years of experience in a management position
- Extensive experience in data strategy, data governance, and data operations
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing data teams in a fast-paced, results-oriented tech business
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively to audiences of varying technical levels
- Experience in being part of a data team that successfully transitioned a startup to IPO or successful exit
- Proficiency in analytics and reporting, with an ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
- Proven and successful experience in a consulting role for senior business leaders and executives
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field. (Advanced degree preferred)
The anticipated salary range for this position is $162,000-$297,000. Equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications as well as the candidate's location of residence. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and management discretion.
