Lead a senior team of Android and iOS engineers to build and shape the best experience for app members to discover each other. Define and own the platform objectives and key metrics for the team and devise a development strategy and roadmap. Evolve app architecture and tooling to support better app performance and developer efficiency. Create and maintain shared foundational frameworks and components. Collaborate with many cross-functional/platform teams (product, design, backend, Android, web, analytics) to execute on that roadmap, and deliver it with high quality in a timely manner. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to mentor and coach the career development of the team. Recruit and build a world-class Mobile Frameworks team. Position allows telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. Salary: $187,907 - $240,800 per year.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field plus 5 years of professional as Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, or any occupation/position/job title involving software engineering management of mobile apps. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, or any occupation/position/job title involving software engineering management of mobile apps. Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience in computer programming (including planning, analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining computer systems or applications) and building native Android or iOS applications; 3 years of professional experience building applications in Swift or Kotlin ; 3 years of professional experience leveraging Swift or Kotlin concepts (including structs or data classes, optionals, generics, and concurrency); 3 years of professional experience with architecture patterns (including MVVM, VIPER, MVI, or RIBs) and their application; 2 years of professional experience leading or managing an engineering team to build and ship large-scale mobile apps; and 1 year of professional experience working with Product, Design, and Operations teams to plan, execute, and monitor features from inception to production.
