Role: Engineering Manager (Mobile)

Education: Bachelor / Master’s degree from reputed college in CS / ECE /Electrical
Experience: 12+ years of product engineering Domain: fintech, ecommerce, web development at high scale

You will be expected to lead design discussions, initiate POCs, present technical topics in staff meetings; be curious; be a role model for juniors.

What are we looking for?

1. Manage multiple full stack/mobile engineers and work with multiple stakeholders in delivering high quality, scalable and reliable products .
2. Define best practices around code, design, architecture, testability, CI/CD and observability, and ensure 100% alignment to them. 
3. Work with executive leadership and product management teams to define short term and long term goals 
4. Consistently push for a high-impact engineering focused team by upskilling them and providing the top-notch developer experience.
5. Constantly engage with key customers to solicit direct feedback on products and features.
6. Ensure the quality and timely delivery of technical solutions while upholding the highest product quality
7. Ensure test coverage of the apps, partly through unit, UI and integration testing, and partly through blackbox testing by collaborating with the Quality Assurance team, via good testing practices.
8. Drive good code review practices, using the review process as a mentoring tool to upskill people.
9. Ensure consistency of features and code reuse across Android / iOS platforms by working with cross-platform technologies, like Kotlin Multiplatform.

Who can apply?

1. More than 8+ years of experience in developing, architecting and releasing enterprise class, native mobile applications on Android and iOS.
2. Should be a working expert in at-least one of the mobile domains: Android or iOS.
3. A hands-on leader, who believes in solving problems and enabling teams for success.
4. Experience of managing multiple product teams and delivering high-quality software releases per agreed plan.
5. Ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of individuals to improve team effectiveness; guide individuals when needed for coaching or mentoring
6. At-least 2 years of experience in managing teams and delivering high-quality projects on time.
7. Experience with building, developing and coaching teams of best technical talent in the Industry
8. Deep understanding of technology and architecture in a highly scalable, fault-tolerant and available environment.
9. Excellent communication skills. Willingness to work under pressure. Hunger to learn and succeed in a fast paced environment.
10. Very well-organized with zero tolerance of leakage of any commitments
