About the Team

At DoorDash, we're redefining the future of on-demand delivery. The DoorDash For Work (DDFW) team is a collection of Engineers, Product Managers, and operators defining and executing on our vision of food benefits in the world of hybrid offices. To make this vision true, we are looking for an Engineering Manager to launch and scale products in this new and emerging vertical.

About the Role

This Engineering Manager will work closely with Product and Strategy teams to define the vision and the execution plan for the "V1" version of the DDFW product suite. This team comprises frontend, backend, iOS and android Engineers, who are building the tools for companies to create and allocate food benefits. This software will allow employees to easily leverage their benefits at the office or at home without the hassle of receipts and approvals.

  • Grow and lead a team of 8-10 engineers, that will build best in class mobile and web experiences for our suite of enterprise products
  • Shape "V1" of the product
  • Build a Category-defining product for food benefits in a world focused on hybrid work environments
  • Work closely with Product, Strategy and Ops to define the team's vision and roadmap
  • Own the hiring process for your team, by partnering with Recruiting to grow a diverse and inclusive organization

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have BS, M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
  • You have 3+ years of experience in people management, leading backend, mobile, & web teams of 10+ engineers
  • You have 8+ years of industry experience with at least 4 years working on a user-facing product
  • You have prior experience working in a Cloud environment, such as AWS
  • You’re an owner - focused and motivated to take ownership of your technical area
  • You're humble - willing to jump in and open to feedback
  • You're empathetic - you have deep care for your customers and your team in order to balance product priorities and team morale
  • You are adaptable and resilient - things change quickly in our fast-paced environment
  • You’re growth-minded - eager to expand your skill set and carve out your path
