Director of Engineerin - Core AI

We are looking for an experienced Director of Engineering, Core AI to technically and organizationally lead our realtime ML efforts at Roblox. As the Director, you will build and lead a team of experienced machine learning engineers and architects to develop solutions in realtime AI/ML space powering innovations on Roblox platform. Reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering for AI in Computing, you will work closely with other engineering and product organizations to lead the vision and execution of ML-driven solution space enhancing the user experience and compute operation. As the leader for ML development on Engine organization, you will be responsible for building and leading a team of experienced machine learning engineers and software engineers to develop ML models and productize them to power our platform. You will work closely with other engineering and product teams to drive development.

You will:

• Lead the development of realtime machine learning models and algorithms that drive our platform's key features, such as recommendations, search, and personalization.

• Develop a long-term strategy for integrating ML technology across the platform.

• Collaborate with other engineering and product teams to lead the development of new ML-driven features that enhance the user experience.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure the development of their skills.

• Stay up to date with the latest research and developments in the field of machine learning, and ensure that the team is incorporating these advancements into their work.

You have:

• In-depth knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques, such as deep learning, natural language processing, generative models and computer vision

• Built scalable, reliable, and efficient systems that help grow the Roblox platform.

• Set technical and organizational strategy, successfully has launched complex, cross organizational products, touching both hardware and software complexity

• Experience with large organizational leadership, and the ability to collaborate across boundaries with internal and external partner engineering teams.
