Role Summary
Pinterest helps Pinners discover and do what they love, and enable advertisers to effectively engage with the ideal audience to meet their marketing objectives. Pinterest has grown into one of the world's largest consumer products and advertising platforms, boasting over 600 million monthly active users and generating more than $4 billion in annualized advertising revenue. Our ongoing business success is reliant on our capacity to accelerate product innovation, which in turn allows us to deliver increased value to both our Pinners and Advertisers.
Pinterest is entering a new era—reimagining how trust, safety, and quality are measured, protected, and elevated across the digital landscape. Reporting to Pinterest’s VP of Trust & Safety, the Director, Data Analytics - Trust & Safety will lead a globally dispersed team of ~15 data analysts and project/program managers tasked with turning trust measurement into governed, self-serve decision systems for Policy, Ops, Legal, Product, and Engineering. As Director, Data Analytics - Trust & Safety, you will architect and accelerate our shift toward agentic, scenario‑driven analytics that measurably reduce time‑to‑detection (TTD) and time‑to‑mitigation (TTM) of harm, and make roadmap tradeoffs more defensible across safety, expression, and growth. You’ll stand up intelligent agents and scenario workflows where they matter most—incident impact sizing, policy/enforcement “what‑if” reviews, and Ops floor playbooks—so decisions that used to take days become consistent, auditable calls made in hours or minutes.
This role isn’t just about reporting what happened; it’s about building the systems, agents, and simulators that help Pinterest see around corners and respond at the speed of the internet. You will democratize agentic data access, build always-on scenario simulators for abuse, fraud, and content quality, and turn incident impacts into seamless signals for continuous improvement. Your insights and systems will empower every stakeholder—from legal to operations, policy to product—to make bold, data-driven, and context-aware decisions in real time.
