We are currently looking for a Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer to join wefox’s Advanced Innovation Team in Paris. Our focus, as a cross-functional team, is to leverage machine learning to improve the customer experience, and to deliver innovative products like recommendation, natural language question and answering on unstructured documents, risk detection and prevention. As a data analyst / analytics engineer, you will be involved throughout the exploration, understanding, and documentation of our internal insurance databases, take part in modelling the most efficient way of accessing data (performance, indexation, views’ creation, materialisation), lead the construction of dashboards, provide insights for the construction of datasets, in close collaboration with the Data Engineers, ML Engineers and Product Managers.

In this role you will : 

  • Provide clean, transformed data ready for analysis.
  • Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code.
  • Maintain data documentation and definitions.
  • Build critical dashboards.
  • Work with business users to understand data requirements.
  • Integrate your code in CI/CD environments.
  • Work closely with product owners, devops, and quality assurance in an agile cross-functional team.
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work on a variety of different projects with a typical duration of 3 to 8 months 
  • Bring your own ideas through our ideation process.
  • Have a strategic and continuous improvement mentality.
  • Love for new technologies and continuous learning.

What you bring :

  • Strong knowledge of SQL.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights through clear and concise visualizations.
  • Ability to develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to derive meaningful insights.
  • Good development skills in Python. 
  • Strong interest in software development.
  • Embrace ownership, autonomy and agile methodology.
  • Good English proficiency (Work in an international environment).
  • Snowflake knowledge would be a plus.
  • Experience with Data Orchestration tools like Dagster or Airflow would be a plus.
