About the team:
PayU Finance is the credit and lending arm of the PayU brand (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Prosus group. Previously Naspers group) headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands. PayU Finance India has disbursed about 20 billion loans to date by volume and has disbursed more than $280 million in consumer credit. PayU Finance provides consumers with easy access to affordable short-term loans up to INR 5 lacs that can be availed in the form of personal loans, point of sale EMI, and express loans.  PayU Finance operates under two brands - LazyPay and PaySense with a focus on Buy now Pay later and personal loan products..

What you’ll be doing:
 
As a credit analyst, you will be part of our team located in Mumbai/ Gurgaon/ Bangalore . You will build credit policy basis
data insights and high focus on process/experience. You will drive innovation, to help consumers
access credit for just about anything and just about anywhere (read: from the local Kirana store, to
FK/AMZN, to getting a cash loan with a click of a button)
 
Our Impact
The Credit Risk team develops, implements and maintains the acquisition as well as customer
management strategies for the consumer lending business at PayU. We leverage traditional,
alternative and behavioral data to create a credit policy that helps ensure risk-adjusted returns. We
work extensively with the marketing, decision sciences, product and technology teams to help create
a product and experience that puts the customer at the center.
We look for individuals with strong problem solving and analytical skills, innovative thinking and
intellectual curiosity who want to make an immediate impact on the credit strategy and help the
business manage risk effectively.
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Develop, implement and maintain credit policy for digital lending products
Analyze data (e.g. traditional and alternative bureau, behavioral & macroeconomic data) using
statistical tools and analytical techniques to generate insights and optimize credit decisions
(accept/ decline, pricing and credit line)
Build and optimize existing customer management strategies to improve customer level
profitability
Monitor portfolio and vintage delinquencies to ensure risk is within bounds; take corrective
action as required
Analyze and evaluate potential vendors/data providers for incremental value in credit
management strategies in a continuous improvement environment
Partner with marketing, data science and product teams to ensure appropriate execution of
policy requirements
Keep up-to-date on applicable regulations and compliance requirements with possible
interactions with internal and external regulators
Skills & Experience :-
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
2-3 years of relevant experience. Experience in risk policy/risk management/analytics would
be preferred
Utilizing knowledge of credit bureau data, risk scorecards and ability to pay quantification
Expertise in excel; data manipulation using SQL/R/Python an added plus
Visualizing complex data analyses and communicating to a wide variety of audiences,
including senior leadership
Managing several projects simultaneously and driving end-to-end project delivery
Developing policy and procedures documentation for credit risk strategy execution
Developing and automating quality control process to ensure intended execution of credit
strategies
Someone who takes ownership and believes in seeing through tasks to its completion despite facing any challenge.
Someone who can work both independently and in collaboration with the team as and when the situation demands for it.
Someone who is not averse to learning and growth and has an open mind about inputs/suggestions from any stakeholder.
Bonus point if you have: 
Experience in the Fintech domain and/ or B2C product experience 
An engineering degree in Computer Science (or) software development experience 
Worked on products with a massive user scale - 1 Mn+ DAUs especially
