Servian is an award winning, regional and global tech consultancy and is currently looking for experienced AWS Engineers to join the team working on our key projects within the financial services and banking domain.

Our consultants use emerging technologies and best practices to help clients become more data-driven across a range of industries. The managed services team support applications and platforms for some of Australia’s largest organisations.

What is the role?

As a consultant you will have the opportunity to work with customers from different industries, learn about their specific challenges and assist them on their journey to a successful AWS cloud adoption.

As an engineer, you will use the latest cloud services to design and develop reusable core components and frameworks for use by software development teams as well as platform optimisation for security, reliability and scalability. You will help drive a DevOps culture and advocate cloud best practices.

Your experience:

Hands-on experience designing and developing cloud IaaS and PaaS on Amazon Web Services.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation and/or Terraform)
Proficiency in orchestration, CI/CD and configuration management tools.
Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. AWS CLI, Bash, Python, PowerShell)
Proficiency in cloud security best practices
Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and concepts
Strong communication skills
Strong technical disposition for cloud infrastructure, observability, and performance management
Instincts for identifying, documenting and mitigating risks
Attention to detail and a fervent belief in a Duty of Care to our clients
Able to mentor and develop team members and be open to mentoring
