About the Role

We're looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join the Data Science team at CompStak to help implement our data-driven decision-making processes. This position will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the infrastructure to our BI solutions that provide actionable insights to various departments across the organization. The role will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of data sources, utilizing modern technologies to ensure our data infrastructure and data pipelines are reliable and future-proof. Key Responsibilities

●      Design, optimize and implement BI solutions, including data modeling, ETL processes and data warehouse maintenance.
●      Ensure the accuracy, performance and scalability of our data infrastructure.
●      Integrate data from various internal and external sources ensuring accuracy and consistency across BI tools.
●      Monitor and improve the performance of BI systems ensuring reliability and speed.
●      Provide technical support for BI tools, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
●      Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data needs.
●      Maintain documentation for BI solutions.


Required Skills & Experience

●      3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
●      Education in one of the following: Computer Science, IT, Data Science or other related fields.
●      Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
●      Thorough knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres)
●      Knowledge of database management and familiarity with cloud-based data warehouse providers (e.g. Snowflake)
●      Familiarity with data transformation tools (e.g. DBT)
●      Python programming experience
