Many call us a headless CMS or API-based CMS, but we like to think beyond the technical architecture we provide. We believe our job doesn't stop at providing an API to developers or a UI to marketers who will figure out how to work with it. That's why we're investing heavily in an ecosystem of open-source tools, APIs & web applications. Our headless CMS puts the developer & marketer experiences at the very center through intuitive workflows & seamless integrations.

As a Software Engineer on the Platform Team, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the developer experience at Prismic. You'll join a dynamic team dedicated to enabling product squads to deliver software at scale and unparalleled quality. Our mission is critical, as you'll directly contribute to the backbone of Prismic's operations - our content-serving API, which reaches millions of users daily.

Design, develop, and maintain the core functionalities of Prismic's content-serving API, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance

Work closely with product squads, providing the tools and infrastructure necessary for the rapid development and deployment of new features and services

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing best practices in software engineering to enhance system reliability and developer productivity

Collaborate across teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver technology that shapes the future of web development

Stay ahead of the curve on emerging technologies and methodologies, incorporating them into your work to keep Prismic at the cutting edge of the industry.

Have a passion for innovation and a desire to change how the web is developed

Have solid experience in software development, with a strong grasp of programming principles and design patterns

Are proficient in one or more programming languages relevant to backend development (e.g., Java, JS/TS (NodeJS), Go)

Have experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable

Are a team player mindset, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote-first environment

Are committed to quality, with a track record of implementing testing practices and contributing to a culture of technical excellence
