About the job
Twilio Segment is growing rapidly and seeking a Head of Global Solutions Engineering to be a key leader in our global sales organization. This role will partner with and report to the VP of Global Sales. You will set the strategy and direction for our Solutions Engineering organization across North America, Latin America, Europe and APJ. You will also take a hands-on approach to developing new leaders and helping your team scale processes globally. As the Solutions Engineering leader, you will partner with sales, post-sales and engineering to create cross-functional systems and operations. This position is critical to ensuring the continued success of our sales team.

Required:
Twilio Segment is looking for a Head of Global Solutions Engineering who leads a team of 60+ highly skilled Solutions Engineers and Solutions Engineering managers. A successful candidate lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of customer-facing technical pre-sales leadership. We seek someone with:
Strong team leadership ability is required, with 10+ years experience as a direct manager of teams in a customer-facing technical pre-sales role, and 5+ years managing managers.
Experience with strategic planning and setting strategies for Technical Presales teams and advising non-Technical Sales teams.
Ability and desire to build strong cross-functional relationships, particularly with Product and post-sales teams (Customer Success, Professional Services).
Experience building programs that have impact and reach across teams
Hands-on approach to problem solving. Always ready to work opportunities directly alongside your team when needed.
Ability and desire to teach both Solutions Engineers, Account Executives, and GTM leadership.
A strong understanding of Software Sales cycles, ideally with a background in Value Selling complex SaaS solutions.
A world class communicator. Confident in influencing and engaging with a highly skilled and experienced audience including C-level executives.
Location
This role will be remote and carries global responsibility. Candidates can be based in North America, or Europe (UK or Germany)
Approximately 25%-35% travel is anticipated.

*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.
The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
Based in Colorado: $218,900.00 - $273,600.00.
Based in New York, Washington State, or the San Francisco Bay area, California: $243,200.00 - $304,000.00.
This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
This role is eligible to earn commissions.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
