Minimum qualifications to apply for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- At least 6 years of proven experience in automation engineering or a related role, with a strong emphasis on leading automation projects and teams.
- Extensive knowledge of automation tools, frameworks, and technologies, such as Selenium, Cypress and Playwright.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies, DevOps practices, agile principles, and experience with continuous deployment methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Experience working with cloud environment services.
Preferred qualifications (if you have those, we see it as an advantage, but it's not a must)
- Pre-knowledge in testing microservices environments and knowing AWS is a plus.
- Experience in the financial technology (fintech) industry is a plus.
How your day is going to look, what will you be doing?
As the Automation Team Lead at Melio, you will be responsible for managing a team of automation engineers, developing automation strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement automation solutions that enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability across our organization.
On a daily basis the role includes hands-on involvement in automation infrastructure setup and testing writing.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of automation engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful delivery of automation projects.
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using industry-leading tools and technologies, including hands-on involvement in automation infrastructure setup and testing writing.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Monitor and analyze automation performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Stay abreast of emerging automation trends, technologies, and best practices to inform decision-making and drive innovation.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the automation team and across the organization.
- Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations to senior management on the status and progress of automation initiatives.
