You will play a significant role in redefining how businesses from Fortune 500s to small boutiques experience and interact with cloud systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce.com, Google, Microsoft 365, Slack, and more.

Who are we looking for? 

This role combines strong technical depth with people accountability. The Senior Staff Software Engineer is responsible for:

  • Technical execution and quality of their track
  • Predictable sprint and release delivery
  • People management for a team of 4–5 engineers
  • Cross-team coordination during Scrum of Scrums and ART forums

Skills & Abilities

Technical & Delivery Ownership (70%)

  • Own end-to-end delivery through driving sprint planning, backlog breakdown, and execution discipline.
  • Ensure predictable sprint velocity and roadmap commitment adherence.
  • Align technical design decisions with the Architect and escalate trade-offs when necessary.
  • Review and approve technical designs within the track.
  • Maintain high code quality standards and enforce review discipline.
  • Oversee the quality of backend (.NET) and frontend (Angular) implementations.
  • Ensure application-level AWS usage follows best practices (Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, CDK).
  • Monitor and improve production health metrics for the track.
  • Identify delivery risks early and escalate appropriately.
  • Participate in complex production issue reviews and ensure preventive measures are implemented.
  • Improve testing standards and release readiness across the team.
  • Drive the reduction of recurring defects and improve system stability.
  • Establish and enforce AI-assisted development practices within the team.
  • Ensure AI usage leads to measurable improvements in sprint predictability, test coverage, defect reduction, and delivery cycle time.
  • Review how AI tools are being used in coding, debugging, and design workflows to improve engineering efficiency.

People Management & Team Accountability (30%)

  • Directly manage 4–5 engineers.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide structured feedback.
  • Own promotion recommendations and development planning.
  • Coach engineers on technical depth and delivery discipline.
  • Ensure clear ownership and accountability within the team.
  • Address performance gaps through structured follow-ups.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and across tracks.
  • Represent the team in Scrum of Scrums and ART meetings.

Education and Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in SaaS product development.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in:
    • .NET / C#
    • Angular
    • REST APIs
    • Git
  • Strong understanding of modular monolith architectures and monorepo structures.
  • Experience with AWS services at the application level.
  • Experience debugging production systems and analysing logs/metrics.
  • Strong understanding of integration-based systems (ERP, SaaS platforms, productivity suites).

Required Leadership Capabilities

  • Demonstrated experience leading a small engineering team.
  • Strong execution and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to break down complex roadmap items into executable plans.
  • Clear communication across Product, Architecture, QA, and Support.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with team accountability.
