Position:                              Senior Software Development Manager

Job Duties:

  1. Responsible for leading a growing team of software engineers to provide production support for Nextiva’s internal users, rearchitecture of Internal Applications and provide data migration and integration support for migrating to newly selected Salesforce and Oracle ERP Cloud platforms.
  2. Responsible for resource allocation, providing estimates and daily/weekly/monthly reports as needed by the Executive Leadership.
  3. Responsible for evaluating production issues, bug fixes, change management, and release management for the software applications.
  4. Lead and organize full-stack teams to meet commitments to ensure that they deliver the highest value.
  5. Own the end-to-end software delivery and timeline, including design, programming, testing, supporting, and implementation to meet business and technical requirements.
  6. Collaborate and coordinate with product managers, Site Reliability Team, designers, and senior level engineering leaders to define the team’s vision, strategy, and product roadmap.
  7. Establish lean engineering processes that use focus and rapid iteration to build the right product for the right problem.
  8. Implement Asynchronous Infrastructure, Software Build Tools, and Cloud Deployment process. Use Relational and NoSQL Databases.
  9. Position is based out of Scottsdale, Arizona HQ, but telecommuting is permitted on a case-by-case basis.

Job Requirements:

  • Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related. Employer will accept foreign equivalent in the same field.
  • Experience Requirements: 60 months of experience in job offered, Engineering Manager, Technical Specialist, or closely related.

Special skills requirements:

  1. Utilize API, Product and Software Design and Architecture for Software Applications
  2. Use Microservices and Spring framework for Software Development, Testing and Support
  3. Practice Lean Engineering Process to build software at Rapid Iteration
  4. Knowledge with the use of Asynchronous Infrastructure REDIS, RabbitMQ, RDBMS, and NoSQL Databases, Build Tools and Cloud Deployment
  5. Building Enterprise and Web Applications using Java, Spring MVC, Struts and RESTFUL Web Services, SOAP Web Services and SQL server as database
  6. Building User Interfaces using HTML, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
  7. Developing software solutions using Eclipse Integrated Development Environment, application servers like Websphere and Tomcat, source control using SVN
  8. Implementing build scripts for continuous integration and deployment using Maven build tool and Jenkins
  9. Building test modules for applications and performed unit testing and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito frameworks.
