Lead Web Developer (Wordpress)

We are looking for a Lead Web Developer who is capable of owning large projects while also comfortable with routine site maintenance. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who is passionate about emerging web technologies. This role will require a thorough understanding of front-end web development with a responsive architecture in a team-based collaborative environment. This role will work closely with other front-end developers, back-end developers, business analysts, product owners, and UX/UI designers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development and support of websites and various web products
• Ensure code is optimized for viewing across devices
• Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability
• Ability to problem solve in an efficient and effective manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high productivity environment, with a sense of urgency
• Maintain brand consistency
• Work closely with developers, designers, and key stakeholders
• Manage priorities and workload effectively to meet all predetermined workflow schedules and deadlines

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field is strongly preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in a web development environment
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and PHP
• Experience with WordPress, including server-related structure and functionality
• Experience with graphic applications such as XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design
• Experience with Git and standard version control practices
• Experience with marketing automation, Google Analytics, Interaction Studio and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Experience with and interest in working with various APIs
• Experience with creating and maintaining HTML forms, including JavaScript validation and custom PHP form processing
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with various A/B testing tools
• Understanding of SEO principles and best practices

Nice to have:

• Experience with preprocessors such as SASS
• Experience with CSS animations
• Experience with other Content Management Systems
• Experience with SQL and databases
• Experience with email development and standard cross-client practices
• Working knowledge of MacOS or Windows CLI
