The Hardware Engineering team at Ledger is looking for a key addition to its team : Hardware Validation Firmware Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for low level validation of new components and bring up of early prototype boards.
Main mission :
- Develop firmware to enable the qualification of new hardware components.
- Study and report on components performance vs. expected behaviors.
- Contribute to our Factory test mode low level firmware
- Develop on microcontrollers and microprocessors. MCU/MPSOC/SOC
- Collaborate with Hardware and Electronics engineers to ensure correct setups of components in our systems.
- Develop various applications on top of our own OS for testing and qualification of hardware performance in system: C or RUST.
- Be support of test benches and factory tools for hardware validation.
What we are looking for:
- Engineering degree with at least 3 years of experience.
Must have:
- Solid C programming skills.
- Good knowledge of python/Rust/C++.
- Working knowledge of versioning tools (GIT, other…).
- Comfortable with low level concepts: (Interrupt, Systick, peripherals ..).
- Working knowledge of OS operations (linux, others…), and Micro-Kernel (FreeRTOS/Zéphyr etc ..).
- Fundamental EE skills and able to review schematic..
- Ability to navigate components datasheets
- Ability to debug on target ( GDB).
- Hands-on experience using lab equipment like oscilloscope, Spectrum analyzer, soldering iron.
- Rigor, technical English (B2 min) and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
Big Plus:
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools ( Jenkins, GHE, Ansible …).
- Ability to do simple custom PCBA.
- Knowledge of “Secure Elements”.
